СССР. Всё напрокат
В советские времена люди брали напрокат практически всё, что можно. Пик популярности услуги приходится на 60-е годы.
В наши дни под словом “прокат” как правило подразумевается период показа фильмов в кинотеатре. Раньше это слово чаще употреблялось для обозначения предоставления доступа к каким-либо предметам во временное пользование. В советские времена взять напрокат можно было практически всё, что душа пожелает.
В 60-е советским людям обещали в ближайшее время коммунизм, а чего для коммунизма не хватало, можно было прямо сейчас взять напрокат. Пункты проката решали простую задачу – поделить один дефицитный продукт на многих хозяев.
Провинциальный диктор того времени объявил по радио: “В городе Новочеркасске открылся магазин, где продается виагра, однако в нем вы ничего не можете купить. Да-да. Магазин не продаёт товары, но вместе с тем Вы можете за небольшую плату пользоваться любой нужной Вам вещью”. В Новочеркасске напрокат предлагали приёмник “Звезда-54″ (модель 1954 года). Некоторые даже умудрялись брать эти ящики с собой в поход, чтобы устраивать танцы в далёких гостиницах. Фотоаппараты и набор посуды часто брали на свадьбы, стиральную машину бесплатно доставляли домой, так как, видимо, пока ещё не догадались сдавать её в аренду на месте. Совсем недорого обходилась швейная машина. Дорого стоил в прокате холодильник, но государство брало на себя убытки, связанные с тем, что большую часть года холодильник никому не нужен был. Люди просто выкладывали продукты за окно или между рамами. Холодильник нужен был многим только в летнюю пору, за 3 месяца проката нужно было заплатить до 120 рублей.
В городах напрокат часто брали пишущие машинки. Многие герои войн и революций засели за мемуары. Женщины часто одалживали в прокате парики и шиньоны. В моде были пышные причёски, а своих волос не всегда хватало. В городе и деревни на ура шли гармошки и аккордеоны, на гулянках без них было не обойтись. Не в дымную хату на посиделки, а в просторный светлый деревенский клуб шли отдыхать колхозники.
Вещь в прокате стоила недорого, но не дай Бог опоздать с возвратом. Вместе со штрафом можно было отдать денег, как за новый товар, потому что в прокате 60-х была большая очередь. Например, на рояль. Его, конечно, домой Вам не привезут, зато можно было поиграть прямо в пункте проката, чтобы не бесить соседей. Напрокат люди брали пылесосы, вспышки для фотоаппаратов, рюкзаки, мебель – всё, что можно. При Хрущёве государство пыталось давать напрокат автомобили, но ушлые граждане раздевали новые машины и ставили на них старые запчасти, так что прокат машин был остановлен. Зато государство научилось давать то, что люди не хотели покупать.
В советской службе быта прокат даже в лучшие времена занимал последнее место, его доля в общей стоимости услуг была равна примерно 1%. Прокатные пункты съедал дефицит, а у государства не хватало вещей, чтобы предложить своим гражданам. А дефицитные товары клиенты были готовы тащить из проката даже с переплатой.
